Program’s Mission Statement:
The mission of the International Student Center is to provide assistance and support to international students to facilitate their successful integration into Los Angeles City College.
The International Student Center assists students attending Los Angeles City College under F-1 Visas with college admission, assessment, orientation, immigration matters, employment under OPT, academic advising, and counseling.
1. The student will recognize his/her immigration status and understand the requirements for maintaining a visa status in good standing.
2. The student will maintain satisfactory academic progress.
3. The student will integrate successfully into the campus through knowledge of compus resources.
4. The program will provide students with accurate information and communicate in a culturally sensitive manner.
